Packiyo Portal Overview
Packiyo WMS acts as the backbone and master of data within the warehouse. It provides the features to receive shipments, put away inventory, pick items and ship orders as well as handle returns and operational reports.
The portal provides a quick and easy way to access and make any needed changes to products, orders and returns, with a few additional reports for clear insight into whats been shipped. This can be helpful for customer support teams to make last minute order changes, or for inventory to be sent to the warehouse.
This saves time sending email requests or making calls. Now you and your team can better coordinate daily operations with your fulfillment provider without scrambling to catch up or not knowing whats happening.
What You Can Do
Here are the main features currently available in your Packiyo Portal.
Create ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notices), also referred to as Purchase Orders that will be received by the fulfillment partner warehouse.
View and modify orders that have been created on any connected sales channels such as a Shopify, Amazon, BigCommerce etc. View our integrations.
Create orders directly in Packiyo, using a CSV or individually.
View and modify products that have been created on any connected sales channels or created within Packiyo.
Create and modify returns.
View reports, currently the reports include Shipments, Shipped Items, Stale Inventory, Lots and Expirations, Serial Numbers and Returned Products.
What You Can't Do
While Packiyo provides the tools for you to manage more of what's happening on the fulfillment side of your business, there are limitations based on what logically makes sense for a warehouse to effectively manage operations. With that in mind, you cannot:
Set or modify inventory or stock levels of any products that are in the fulfillment partner warehouse.
Modify or cancel an order once it is picked, packed or shipped.
Modify a purchase order once it is being received.
To access your Packiyo Portal, you will need the URL (this is unique for every fulfillment partner that uses Packiyo WMS) along with an active account. If you don't already have this information, please reach out to your fulfillment partner.
Once you have successfully logged in, you will be presented with the default dashboard view.
The basic interface has 3 main navigation elements.
This is the main menu. From here you can access Orders, Inventory, Returns, Purchase Orders and Reports.
The settings and advanced features menu. From here you map shipping services (we recommend you work with your fulfillment partner to setup shipping rules), add new accounts for additional people on your team to access the portal, create and manage Kit products and manage vendors (required for the creation of purchase orders).
The profile menu. From here you can update your profile, view system activity, link to Packiyo documentation or logout.
Packiyo will download any orders that have been placed in your connected sales channel(s). Reach out to your fulfillment partner if you need to connect any new sales channels.
You can quickly search and filter orders that have loaded into Packiyo and view more details about that order.
The Orders view presents a number of features that are generally available on all list views, these numbered features are:
1 - Search & Filter
This provides an ability to combine both a search of an order number, with additional filter options.
Tip: to search for a partial match, use the % operator. For example, %007 will return all orders containing 007.
2 - Bulk Edit
This provides an ability to modify many orders at once.
Bulk edit options include:
3 - Create Order
This feature provides a quick method to create an order. Click the Create Order Button to get started creating an order directly within Packiyo.
4 - Import & Export CSV
This feature provides a more advanced option of importing new or updating existing orders via a CSV. If you want to upload orders via a CSV upload, download the CSV file first and use it as your template.
5 - Edit List Columns
This option allows you to customize what information you want to be displayed on the screen when viewing orders.
6 - Show Entries
This option allows you control how many orders to list at once. The lesser the number, the faster the page will load. If you're finding that the page is taking too long to load, it may be because 1000 records may take some time to display. We recommend you keep this to no more than 100.
Viewing & Modifying an Order
Packiyo provides a quick method to make changes to order line items, set a hold, add a note, modify shipping and billing address or even cancel the order. If the order not ready to ship, then it will indicate why. In the image here, the image cannot ship because products are backordered.
Packiyo will download and sync any products from your connected sales channels. We recommend that you make product changes directly in your sales channel, Packiyo will sync any changes. However, you may want to manage specific product information such as if it's a kit, or if it requires lot tracking or serial number tracking.
To view and manage products, click on Inventory > Products from the main menu.
You can edit a product and view any changes by clicking on a product. Just like in the manage orders view, you can export and import CSV changes, selected multiple products and apply bulk changes using the bulk edit feature.
