Bulk shipping with Packiyo can be a powerful tool for efficiently processing multiple orders at once. However, to use this feature, there are some key requirements and steps you need to follow.

Basic Requirements for Bulk Shipping

Before you can start bulk shipping, make sure your orders meet the following criteria:

At least 10 orders must have the same characteristics:

  • Same SKU

  • Same product

  • Same number of line items per order

  • Assigned Shipping Method: The orders must have a specific shipping method that is not generic. If the orders do not have an assigned shipping method, they cannot be bulk shipped.

If you need to use a generic shipping label for bulk shipping, you'll need to contact Packiyo’s support team to enable this feature. This will depend on your specific needs and warehouse environment, but generally, you should use a specific shipping method for bulk shipping.

Steps to Bulk Ship in Packiyo

Once your orders meet the above requirements, you can start the bulk shipping process.

1. Position Under 3PL Instance

Ensure that you are positioned under the 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) instance in Packiyo:

Once in the 3PL instance, you will see the Pack Orders icon (bottom-left corner):

2. Select the Pack Orders Icon:

  • Click the Pack Orders icon. You will see two tabs in the upper right corner:

    • Single Orders: For shipping individual orders.

    • Bulk Ship: For shipping multiple orders at once.

  • Select the Bulk Ship tab to proceed:

3. Suggested Bulk Ship Orders:

  • In the Bulk Ship tab, you'll find three sub-tabs. The first one is Suggested:

  • The system automatically suggests orders that qualify for bulk shipping.

  • Here, you can see a batch of 10 orders that meet the criteria. The system will display the main characteristics of this batch, such as the number of orders and general descriptions.

Heads up:

To change the column headings, click the Edit Columns link and select/deselect the headings you want to show/hide:

4. In Progress Batches:

The next tab is In Progress, showing batches that have already been started. When you select a batch in progress, you can see details like:

  • Batch name (e.g., "Batch 15")

  • Number of orders in the batch

  • Number of successfully shipped orders

  • Number of failed orders and remaining orders

If there are failed orders, you can change the shipping method and attempt to ship them again. The system will provide a brief description of why an order failed, so you can address the issue.

5. Packing and Shipping Orders:

  • Attempt to pack and ship the orders. After shipping, the system will create a new batch with any remaining orders that need attention.

  • A pop-up window will show the status of the current batch, including the number of Total orders requested, Total orders failed, Total orders shipped and
    Remaining orders.

  • You can choose to Continue batch or Close and merge it. If you close and merge, you’ll be able to view and print the bulk shipping labels for the orders in that batch:

6. Viewing Completed Batches:

In the third tab, Batches, you’ll see all orders that have been successfully shipped using the bulk shipping method. This tab (1) provides a description of each batch, including the batch ID, the number of orders, and the option to mark the orders as packed (2) or printed (3):

7. Returning to Suggested Batches:

  • You can always return to the Suggested tab to view new batches created from previously processed orders.

  • If you encounter orders that still require shipping, you can process them using a different shipping method if needed.
