Connect ReturnGo

ReturnGo works with Shopify, so you will need an active Shopify store before setting up ReturnGo.

  1. Install ReturnGo from Shopify and complete the ReturnGo account setup.

  2. Open ReturnGo. The home page will look similar to the example below.

  1. In ReturnGo, go to Settings > Integrations > API. From this page, you can add a new API key or edit or delete an existing key.

Connect ReturnGo to Packiyo

  1. In Packiyo, navigate to Connections > Apps > Add new.

  2. Select ReturnGo.

Enter the following information:
  1. Store Name: Enter your store’s .myshopify.com domain, using this format: abc123.myshopify.com. Do not include https://.
  2. Connector Name: Enter ReturnGo: YourStoreName, replacing YourStoreName with the name of your store.
  3. ReturnGo API Key: Paste the API key generated in the previous steps.
  1. Click Connect, then verify that the credentials authenticate successfully and save the connection.

7. After connecting, click Configure to open the ReturnGo sync page.

From the configuration page, you can sync returns by date or return ID. To create or refresh ReturnGo return create/update webhooks, use Recreate all under Manage Webhooks. To send receive/reject updates back to ReturnGo, create the Packiyo webhook named Receive Return.

Create Returns in ReturnGo

8. In ReturnGo, navigate to Manage Returns and click CREATE RMA.

9. Search for the Shopify order you want to return using the order number.

11. Add the required return information for the order and selected items.

12. Click ADD for each return item, then submit the RMA as Pending or Approved.

Supported Features

  • Return sync

  • Return sync by ID

  • Return sync via webhook

  • Return receive / processing

Return Sync

Packiyo fetches RMAs from ReturnGo and maps them into Packiyo return orders. Each RMA is first fetched in summary form, then its full details are retrieved before mapping.

A return is skipped if any of the following conditions are true:

  • The RMA status is canceled, rejected, or done.

  • No matching Shopify order is found for the return order ID.

  • The matched Shopify order does not have a linked Packiyo order.

  • The detailed RMA response from ReturnGo is empty.

Returns can be retrieved by date, return ID, and webhook. If a canceled, rejected, or done return was previously synced, it is saved as Closed in Packiyo.

Receive and Process Returns

  1. After a return has synced into Packiyo, go to the Packiyo Returns page.

  2. Click Receive Return for the return you want to process. This opens the item-level receive/reject workflow.

  1. Receive or reject the return items as appropriate.

Packiyo sends a status update back to ReturnGo only when the return is fully received. Partially received returns are not processed until they are complete.

ReturnGo status updates follow this logic:

  • Rejected lines + ReturnGo status Approved: send Canceled.

  • Rejected lines + any other ReturnGo status: send Rejected.

  • No rejected lines + ReturnGo status Pending: send Approved, then Done.

  • No rejected lines + ReturnGo status Approved or Received: send Done.

When the target status is Approved, Packiyo first sends the Approved update. If that succeeds, Packiyo immediately sends Done in the same processing cycle.

Important Notes

  • Orders must already be synced into Packiyo before their returns can be processed.

  • A return cannot be processed if the associated Packiyo order does not exist.

  • Item-level status updates are not supported.
