When orders are imported through Packiyo's native TikTok integration, Packiyo automatically adds a tag to the order based on the shipping option selected in the client's TikTok account.
The shipping option is configured directly within TikTok and cannot be overridden by Packiyo.
The two shipping options are:
TikTok Shipping
Seller Shipping
The shipping option selected in TikTok determines which carriers can be used and whether the shipment can be successfully pushed back to TikTok.
When an order is imported with TikTok Shipping selected:
The order is automatically tagged TikTok Shipping.
TikTok-approved carriers must be used for these orders.
The shipment is expected to be purchased through the TikTok-connected carrier service.
Non-TikTok carriers will not successfully push shipment information back to TikTok.
If a TikTok Shipping order is shipped using a carrier connected through EasyPost or another non-TikTok carrier connection, the tracking information may be rejected by TikTok.
For example:
For TikTok Shipping orders, make sure the appropriate TikTok carrier service is selected during packing.
When an order is imported with Seller Shipping selected:
The order is automatically tagged Seller Shipping.
The 3PL/client's connected carriers can be used.
Carriers connected through EasyPost or other supported postage aggregators can be used.
TikTok carrier services will not return rates for these orders.
Non-TikTok carrier shipments can successfully push tracking information back to TikTok.
Order is tagged Seller Shipping
Carrier: USPS through EasyPost
Result: The shipment can be processed and tracking information can be sent back to TikTok.
The shipping option configured in TikTok determines which carrier type should be used.
For TikTok Shipping orders, the USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage option cannot initially be mapped directly from the Shipping Mapping page.
However, this shipping method can be automated for future TikTok Shipping orders.
Before creating the automation, Packiyo needs to see the shipping method used on at least one order.
This means the first order needs to be processed manually.
Go to the Packing screen.
Open the TikTok Shipping order.
Click Show Calculated Rates to open the Rate Shop.
Look for USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage.
Select the shipping method.
Complete the shipment as usual.
Once the first order has been successfully shipped using this method, USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage will become available as an option within the Automation settings.
Once the carrier option is available, you can automate the shipping method for future TikTok Shipping orders.
Click the Gear Icon.
Go to Settings.
Select Automation.
Click Create Automation.
Configure the automation as follows:
When an order is created
Order Tag → is → "tiktok shipping"
Set Shipping Method → USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage
After configuring the rule:
Set the automation to Active.
Click Save.
Once the automation is active, Packiyo will automatically apply USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage to future orders that are imported with the tiktok shipping tag.
A new order is imported from TikTok:
Order Tag: TikTok Shipping
The automation detects the tag and applies:
Shipping Method: USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage
The order can then be packed and shipped using the appropriate TikTok shipping service.
The TikTok Shipping/Seller Shipping option is controlled by the client's TikTok account.
Packiyo cannot override the shipping option selected in TikTok.
TikTok Shipping orders should use TikTok-approved carrier services.
Seller Shipping orders should use the client's/3PL's connected carrier services.
Non-TikTok carriers should not be used for TikTok Shipping orders if the shipment needs to be pushed back to TikTok.
TikTok carriers will not return rates for Seller Shipping orders.
The USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage option must first be used on an order before it becomes available for automation.
The automation is based on the tiktok shipping order tag automatically added by the TikTok integration.
If the order does not have the appropriate shipping tag, the automation will not trigger.
First, check the order's shipping tag. If the order is tagged TikTok Shipping, it needs to be shipped using a TikTok-approved carrier service. If a non-TikTok carrier such as an EasyPost-connected USPS service was used, TikTok may reject the tracking information.
Check whether the order is tagged Seller Shipping.
TikTok carrier services are intended for TikTok Shipping orders. Seller Shipping orders should use the carrier services configured by the 3PL/client.
This carrier option needs to be used on at least one order first. After successfully processing the first order using USPS (TikTok) Ground Advantage, the option should become available in the Automation settings.
No. The shipping option is determined by the configuration in the client's TikTok account and cannot be overridden by Packiyo.
